  1. DONNA GILLETT: "THE LITTLE OLD LADY FROM KANSAS"

Do you think that "one person can't make a difference"? Well, think again and listen into the Chuck Wilder Show as he interviews Donna Gillett, the "Little Old Lady From Kansas," a great patriot with true love for America and plenty of Midwestern "grit" who has made, and is making, a difference.

As Chuck Wilder advised in his guest list for May 25, 2010, Donna Gillett will discuss “Michael Behenna, USA Ranger, one of the "Leavenworth Ten," who "is among ten decorated soldiers (coined the Leavenworth 10) in Leavenworth prison who have been wrongfully charged and convicted for murdering Al-Qaeda or insurgents. Donna is promoting a Motorcycle Rally to Leavenworth to support these American soldiers/Marines.(www.defendmichael.com).”

But, please, allow me to make American Legionnaires in particular, and all vets and patriots in general, aware of something else about Donna Gillett:

When Donna read in Kansas about the the American Legion "Veterans Memorials, Boy Scouts, Public Seals, And Other Public Expressions of Religion Act ("PERA") Resolution, which originated in District 21 (Cal.) and would rescind the authority of judges to award the ACLU or anyone else taxpayer-paid attorney fee "awards" for Establishment of Religion litigation attacks on our veterans memorials, Boy Scouts, etc., she contacted me to say she wanted to pursue a resolution in support of the Legion's PERA resolution as a member of the Federation Of Republican Women.

Describing herself as "just a little old lady in Kansas" with no prior experience, Donna asked for a little technical assistance in re-drafting the Legion PERA Resolution to meet the Federation's resolution requirements. Donna then crafted a PERA resolution for the Federation supporting the Legion. She then successfully advocated passage at her local Federation Chapter. From there, it started up the ladder of Federation levels, in which it was adopted with her advocacy.

To her surprise, she managed to have it adopted by her Kansas State Federation Convention. Then, to her shock, her PERA resolution in support of the Legion was adopted at the Federation's National Convention.

One "little old lady from Kansas" made all of that happen. Donna Gillett is one of my "heroes," and I hope you will take her into your heart, too. She has shown the difference that one person, one American patriot with true grit, can make.
