Barbara (Flynn) Redgate has been teaching and coaching all over the world for 30 years. She earned a BS and MA from the University of Rhode Island. She holds teaching credentials in California, Rhode Island, Maryland, and The Department of Defense Schools. Barbara has served on accreditation and selection committees, coached track, cross country, basketball, softball, robotics, and surfing teams. In 2006 Barbara was the Teacher of The Year, from Calvert County, Maryland Public Schools. Barbara is also a competitive surfer, participating on both east and west coasts as well as in Hawaii. She is currently retired after spending the last 15 years teaching Advance Placement Physics at Patuxent High School. She is the proud wife of a retired Naval Aviator, Proud Mother of three daughters, Proud sister of Lt. Gen Michael T. Flynn, and Seven Other Exceptional Siblings. Alex Newman, a regular contributor to The New American, Alex is the co-author of the book Crimes of the Educators: How Utopians Are Using Government Schools To Destroy America's Children.
