A federal litigator, Emord has defeated the Food and Drug Administration a remarkable eight times in federal court, more than any other attorney in American history. He was lead counsel in the landmark Pearson v. Shalala decision, holding FDA censorship of nutrient-disease claims unconstitutional under the First Amendment. He is the author of five critically acclaimed books on law and government, including Freedom Technology and the First Amendment; The Rise of Tyranny; Restore the Republic; Global Censorship of Health Information and The Authoritarians. He is a Guest Lecturer at Georgetown University Medical School and Georgetown University Law Center.
